Not so sloppy joes

To be honest the Hubby and I saw this on a tv commercial a couple days again...haha!
well I looked it up on Pillsbury's website and was disappointed that it called for canned sloppy joe mix...good for a weekday quick meal but about 10 more mins to make my version.

Julie's Sloppy joe
1lb meat, browned and drained
1/2 med onion
1/2 cup celery
Olive oil
1 can tomato soup
2 tb welch shire sauce
2 tb vinegar
1/4 cup ketchup or minced fresh tomatoes
2 tb brown sugar
2 cups shredded cheese, any kind we used Cheddar
1 pkg refrigerated biscuits

Warm olive oil in lrg skillet. Sauté celery and onion will tender. Add beef, cook till brown and drain. return to pan on med heat and add soup, welch shire sauce, vinegar, ketchup and brown sugar. Simmer for 20 mins till thickened. While cooking open pkg of biscuits and flatten each to 6 inch rounds. Spoon in mixture, top with cheese and fold. Bake at 375 for 10-12mins.

A NEW hubby favorite...total time 35 mins and totally worth the extra time! Enjoy..
Take care-DCW
