Homemade applesauce

Crazy mom? Sometimes maybe but I'm just crazy about my nuggie and cooking to be honest! Either way My dear friend Alicia is starting her daughter on baby food and I thought I'd repost some of my recipes.... Including one I still make today|:
Cinnamon Applesauce
8-10 apples, pealed and sliced
(I started with a mild apple and now use a good mix of reds and golden delish)
Small dash of cinnamon and sugar

Boil about 2 cups water in lrg pot. Peal and slice apples then place in steam basket. Cover and steam for about 12 mins, cool and blend with 1/2cup of reserved water. I used more when he was younger!
Seriously start to finish 30 mins tops!

A post with more recipes:

  1. Awesome, thanks! I just made some pears for Alexis this morning. It's so easy, if you are able to still do it, why not!? You're not crazy, you are just a great Mom! :)
